It has been the first year for this blog, but hopefully I will be able to keep it going for a while longer. It has been my first attempt at blogging, and there has been a lot to learn, and a lot of mistakes made. I am still trying to learn as much as I can, but as long as my daily average hits is in the area of 12-18 readers pr day I guess it will be a while longer before I can resign from my current job and become a full time traveler and blogger ;D
Qantas has just announced the worlds longest passenger flight. Starting March 2018 they will be operating the first ever non-stop flight from Perth, Australia to London, United Kingdom.
The flight will last about 17 hours, and cover a distance of 14.499 KM or about 7,829 NM.
This flight will be marginally longer than the current longest flight in the world, which is operated by Emirates with an Airbus A380 between Dubai and Auckland, which is 7700 NM.
Citibank is now offering up to 600 dirhams cashbak if you apply for any of their credit cards online.
The only requirement for getting the cashback is that you have to spend at least 5000 dirhams on the creditcard to get 300 dirhams statement credit, or 10000 dirhams to get 600 dirhams credited back to your account. This means up to 6% back on your spends for the first 10.000 dirhams you spend on the card, a better deal than most deals you can find out there right now.
The promotion seems to be valid for a selection of CitiBanks Credit Cards, my favorite that I am currently using myself is the Premier Miles, where you earn Citi miles on all your spends, which you can then credit to any airline program you choose (Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways and many others) at a 1:1 ratio, making it an excellent currency if you are not particularly loyal to just one of them.
Planning on flying with Emirates anytime soon? If you are not a member of their Emirates Skywards program yet, make sure you sign up now, as they will give you 5000 bonus miles on your first flight, in addition to the miles you would normally get for the flight!
